Selling fake notes advertising on Facebook! RAB Arrested 3
In order to sell fake notes targeting the Eid market, pages and groups were opened and advertised on Facebook under different names such as A grade fake notes, want money, fake notes, sell fake money, fake money dealer, fake money sales center, real sales, money business. After that, Shahzada Alam was delivering fake money through direct meeting with those interested in buying fake money.
The gang has already made 4 major deliveries of counterfeit money. Last June 15, Shahzada delivered a challan of fake notes of 500, 200 and 100 taka by advertising in the 'A grade fake note' group. He took 90 thousand taka in exchange for selling fake notes of five lakh taka.
Then on Monday (June 19) he was caught red-handed along with two accomplices by RAB with money and machines and equipment while preparing for the delivery of fake notes of Tk. 200,000.
A team of RAB-3 arrested Shahzada Alam (33), one of the ringleaders of the counterfeiting gang, in a raid in Ujapara (Masterpara) area under Uttarkhan police station of the capital. The two arrested accomplices are Mahedi Hasan (19) and Abu Huraira alias Tushar (22).
On Tuesday (June 20) at noon in a press conference organized at RAB-3 office, the captain (CO) of RAB-3 Lt. Colonel Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed conveyed the news. At the time of arrest, 1 laptop used for making counterfeit notes, 1 laptop bag, 1 keyboard, 2 mouces, 2 laptop chargers, 1 pen drive, 10 special marker pens, printer used for printing money, 4 toner cartridges for printing money designs, 2 Reams of white paper, 1 roll of foil paper, 3 steel scales, 3 NT cutters, 1 scissors, 4 mobiles, 8 SIM cards, 1 NID card and 3 wallets were seized.
